A clay tablet on my knees.
A passage from "Gilgamesh".
The surge of sunset
gushes through the bowed shutters
and fills up the wayward
depressions in the clay
with triangles of trembling cerise,
which coagulate
into a copy of "Gilgamesh"
glowing on its own
now that the sun is gone.
